Responsibilities: I provide technical assistance to child care centers in Floyd, Letcher, Martin and Pike Counties.

Experiences: I have had 14 years experience working in a child care center, in Lexington and in Hazard. I have been at my current position since 1997.

Reason: I believe all families and children deserve access to quality early childhood programming in safe, nurturing, quality environments in their community.

Research: My research interest includes the effect of play-based curriculum as an effective model of instruction for children with special needs and Early Childhood Programming in rural settings

Interests: I am currently enrolled in an doctoral program, focusing on Educational Leadership and Policy Studies with a rural settings concentration.
