Beth Metzger is a Disability Rights Advocate with Kentucky Protection and Advocacy (KY P&A), has worked with individuals with disabilities for over 25 years. Since beginning at KY P&A in 2001, her focus has been information and referral services; she also performs outreach and rights training activities as well as providing some client-directed representation. Beth is currently a co-chair of Project SAFE (Safety & Accessibility for Everyone); she also serves as an instructor for Louisville Metro Police and Kentucky Crisis Intervention Team (CIT). Prior to her current employment, she worked as an Initial Service Coordinator with Bluegrass First Steps and as a Family Services Worker for the Department for Social Services. Beth holds a B.A. in Sociology from Berea College and a M.S. in Criminal Justice from Eastern Kentucky University.
