Judith L. Page, PhD, CCC-SLP, F-ASHA, F-NAP, Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in the College of Health Sciences at the University of Kentucky, has over 40 years of professional experience as a faculty member and certified speech-language pathologist. Her primary areas of focus are communication intervention strategies for persons with multiple/severe disabilities and complex communication needs. Dr. Page served as director of the program in Communication Sciences & Disorders for 20 years and as chair of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences for 8 years. She has been active in a variety of professional service and advocacy activities at the state and national levels, serving on national certification and accreditation boards and culminating in her election in 2015 as President of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is currently the director of SPEAC-IT, an interprofessional personnel preparation project funded by the Office of Special Education Programs, U.S. Department of Education. She also works with Communication Initiative of the national inclusion center at the University of Minnesota (TIES Center), the KDE funded TAALC (Teaching Age-Appropriate Academic Learning via Communication) Project, and the University of Cincinnati’s Ohio Deaf-Blind Project focusing on professional development in the area of communication.
