Responsibilities: Manage multiple statewide and national projects; develop and implement innovative approaches for professional learning related to the inclusion of students with significant disabilities across all parts of education.

Experiences: Extensive experience in assessment & accountability with national level projects; Experience with professional learning regarding inclusive education for students with significant disabilities through national level projects Experience with leadership in statewide professional learning in communication intervention for students with significant disabilities. Teaching experience with secondary age students with significant cognitive disabilities.

Reason: I started my career as a teacher for students with moderate and severe disabilities at the middle and high school levels.

Research: My research interests include: understanding the population of students who participate in alternate assessments; communication for students with disabilities who don’t use oral speech; assessment and accountability systems; and inclusive education for students with significant cognitive disabilities.
