Responsibilities: Overseeing development of data collection system, reporting to state and federal government, developing methods to improve post-school outcomes. I also assist with general research activities for HDI, serve on the Underserved Populations Engagement Committee and collaborate with many state agencies.

Experiences: I began as a Research Assistant at HDI for healthcare training modules. I then was a member of the evaluation unit for several years. Prior to HDI, I did research in political science and public health.

Reason: Having a disability myself, and having benefited from many supports throughout my life (and not benefited from some others), I think that HDI is a place that values research and uses it’s findings to improve the lives of others.

Research: Post-school outcomes Disability and society Political behavior Religiosity and disability Health outcomes for persons with disabilities Research and analysis

Interests: Being a parent, searching for the best burger, contemplating our place in the universe, and if you need a good book read, I’m probably your guy.
