Spotlight on Danielle Augustin

Danielle Augustin is a part-time Inclusive Health Project Assistant at HDI with work spanning several projects, including the Health and Wellness Initiative: Project CHEER and Wellness Edge. Danielle is a student in the Master’s Health Promotion program with expected graduation in May, 2019. She will also be starting next semester as a Research Assistant under Dr. Elaine Eisenbaum’s newest grant, the Serious Mental Illness National Training Center grant from the Administration on Community Living.

She has also worked on adapting the questions on a community needs assessment to be universally designed and to include demographic questions related to disabilities. Further, she had worked on creating inclusive videos and adaptive exercise videos, and she assisted in creating and adapting the Health Matters initiative and Community Conversations. She is also serving on the advisory committee for Wellness Edge, where she provides technical assistant and just finished reviewing grant applications.

Danielle started working on her practicum at HDI with Lindsey Mullis and Megan Jasperson while earning her Masters:

I fell in love with the population and fell in love with what we do and how we do it. I feel very blessed to be part of the wonderful team here and all the wonderful efforts we’re doing! HDI changed the direction of where I want to go and has been nothing short of a wonderful experience. —Danielle Augustin
