The National Alternate Assessment Center (NAAC) was a five year project funded under the United States Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). The primary objectives of NAAC were to: (1) bring together and build on the current research base on high quality, technically sound alternate assessments; (2) provide technical assistance to states as they endeavor to design or redesign their alternate assessments; and (3) demonstrate through our partnerships with states high quality design and administration of alternate assessments.
