Article by: Bill Mazzoleni

Minnah Farook is currently a doctoral student in counseling psychology at the University of Kentucky. She is a research assistant for the KyPSO program. KyPSO stands for Kentucky Post School Outcomes. Minnah collects survey information and figures out reasoning for statistics.

She hopes that working at HDI will enable her to learn about different developmental and intellectual disabilities by figuring out how to empower and support people with mental illness much better.

Minnah stated that she felt there should be more focus on  individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities regarding their mental health.

Fun facts about Minnah is that her favorite flavor of ice cream is Rocky Road, and her favorite book is The Bonesetter’s Daughter by Amy Tan.
