University Center for Excellence (Core), Learning Initiatives, and Transportation Initiative
Responsibilities: Graphic Design, Videography & Editing, Accessibility in Design
Experiences: I earned my Bachelor's degree in Arts Administration from the University of Kentucky in December 2019. I have previously worked as a Graphic Designer in other departments at UK, including the Student, Appalachian, and International Centers. As a student, I served as the President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Social Media Coordinator for the Student Philanthropy Board, and as an Ambassador for the College of Fine Arts.
Reason: As a Designer, I want to ensure things designed by me and my colleagues are as accessible as possible, including to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as those with seeing or hearing impairments. As an artist and musician, I want to make the arts as accessible as possible. Being a musician has helped me in several areas of my life, including self-expression, leadership, self advocacy, and education. I believe anyone should have the opportunity to express themselves through any art form, including dance, music, visual, or digital.
