RETAIN, ASL Interpreter Team, Information Services
Responsibilities: Direct RETAIN Kentucky, a stay-at-work/return-to-work project funded by the Department of Labor to provide services to people who acquire an illness or injury outside of the workplace. Serve as principal investigator for a contract to deliver high quality American Sign Language Interpreting services to Deaf OVR consumers and staff. Direct institute-wide information services.
Experiences: I have earned a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky and have completed the Harvard Business Management Certificate, the Kentucky Department of Education Administrative Management Certificate, and the Kentucky Cohesive Leadership System Certificate. I have served as project director for two statewide system of care expansion implementation grants focusing on improving the service delivery system for young children (birth to 5) who have serious social, emotional, and/or behavioral challenges.
Research: Effective and efficient coordination, collaboration, and facilitation of teamwork can enhance the success of research projects. As director of multiple federal and state funded initiatives, I have maximized fiscal and human resources to implement, evaluate, and sustain project goals and activities.
Interests: My personal interests include spending time with my family, traveling, enjoying the performing arts and sports.
