SETP Book Club

Are you ready to dive into a book that will inspire, inform, and ignite meaningful conversations? We’re thrilled to invite you to join the Supported Employment Training Project (SETP) Virtual Book Club! Our next book club starts on May 5th, and we’ll meet once a week on Tuesdays for nine weeks. Develop a deeper understanding of disability and inclusion to enhance supported employment practices and ensure effective representation of individuals to employers.

Sitting Pretty: The View from My Ordinary Resilient Disabled Body – by Rebekah Taussig

A memoir-in-essays by disability advocate Rebekah Taussig that explores her experiences growing up and living with a disability, challenging common tropes and offering a nuanced, witty, and honest look at disability in an ableist world.

How it Works

Join the SETP Book Club using the registration link above. We will read the book together over the course of nine (9) weeks. Each week, we’ll read one chapter (there are nine chapters) and then meet on Zoom each Tuesday from 12-1 pm ET to discuss! Attendance is not required for each of the nine sessions. Come to one or all dates. We look forward to seeing you!
