DESCRIPTION:Presenters: Erin Fitzgerald\, Johnny Collett\, and panelists \n\n\n\nDescription: This panel will provide an overview of the Kentucky Supported Higher Education Partnership (KSHEP). KSHEP is a network of colleges and universities offering inclusive postsecondary educations programs for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. During the panel\, some current and former students will share about their experiences and why inclusive postsecondary programs are important. \n\n\n\nLearning Objectives: \n\n\n\n\nExplore the history of supported higher education programs in Kentucky\, as well as the increasing inclusive postsecondary options across the country.\n\n\n\nDiscuss the benefits of inclusive education programs in relation to self-advocacy\, career exploration\, and community engagement.\n\n\n\nLearn from current and former students from inclusive postsecondary programs\, who will share about their experiences in college and beyond.\n\n\n\n\nSchool Psychologists may receive up to 2 CPD clock hours. Continuing Education units are approved for Physical Therapy for a category 2 course. CRC credits are approved in Rehabilitation Counseling are in conjunction with the Kentucky Office of Vocational Rehabilitation.

DESCRIPTION:The University of Kentucky School of Interiors and Human Development Institute are partnering to offer two Open Houses for the Universal Design Certificate. Individuals across a variety of disciplines deploy Principles of Universal Design to make products\, systems\, buildings\, and other environments accessible to all.  Read more about Universal Design here:  https://universaldesign.ie/about-universal-design/the-7-principles. \n\n\n\nThe Universal Design Certificate is a 12-credit hour (4 course) program\, with new students beginning their course of study in the Fall 2025 semester.
