DESCRIPTION:Objectives: \n\n\n\n\nDiscuss the progress made in making the American workforce more inclusive and accessible to the disability community.\n\n\n\nDescribe persistent concerns on the part of employers about hiring and accommodating workers with disabilities.\n\n\n\nProvide empirical evidence that workers with disabilities often prove equal to the task in comparisons with non-disabled workers\, suggesting that within the disability community lies a valuable labor resource.\n\n\n\n\nPresenter: Phillip Rumrill\, Ph.D.\, CRC\, is the Red Cedar Distinguished Professor of Counseling and Counselor Education at Michigan State University. He is one of the leading disability and employment researchers in the United States.
