Virtual Summer Leadership Experience: A Three Day Event

The University of Kentucky Human Development Institute welcomes all Kentucky high school upperclassmen (entering juniors and seniors) with mild to moderate disabilities to apply for the 2020 Virtual Summer Leadership Experience! Priority acceptance will be given to students with articulated plans to continue their education beyond high school. Applications must include a letter of recommendation from a high school teacher/counselor, or from your Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. This camp is sponsored by the Kentucky Office of Vocational Rehabilitation.
The registration deadline is July 1, 2020, and is available at no cost to participants! The virtual camp is scheduled for Wednesday, July 29 through Friday, July 31, 2020. Camp will begin at 10:00 am and end at 4:00 pm each day. We will have scheduled breaks for lunch, snacks, and stretching. Campers will experience fun, interactive, and informational sessions. Topics include exploring post-secondary high school education and training programs, financial aid, important access to resources, health and wellness, and developing the skill sets campers need to take their next step with confidence and success!
