HDI Spring Webinar Series: Job Accommodation Network (JAN): Your Resource in Challenging Work Environments

Presenters: DJ Hendricks, EdD, is the Director of the Center for Disability Inclusion at West Virginia University. Dr. Hendricks began her work at West Virginia University in 1979 and has worked on the Job Accommodation Network (JAN) project since its inception in 1983. She directs the work of approximately 30 employees and leads JAN’s Data Security Team.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the Job Accommodation Network’s mission and how the program operates.
  • Understand how the Job Accommodation Network can help you increase diversity and hire and support valued workers.
  • Discuss why making accommodations for people with disabilities makes good business sense.

During times of economic stress, leveraging available resources is vital to the workforce. JAN provides free and confidential information on accommodating people with disabilities in the workplace. Whether it’s information on devices, hardware and software, or helpful policy changes, the experienced consultants at JAN can provide you with information that is both current and customized to your specific situation. This program is presented in conjunction with the Kentucky Office of Vocational Rehabilitation. CRC credit hours are approved for Rehabilitation Counseling.
