Please join us online as we go virtual for the 8th Annual Kentucky Congress on Spinal Cord Injury (KCSCI), October 9, 2020, 9:30 AM-12 PM. This year looks to be one of our strongest lineups ever as we dive into the ever-growing need for strong advocates on a myriad of issues affecting people with disabilities.
We welcome Attorney Stephanie Woodward, a passionate advocate seeking justice for marginalized communities, who has an arrest record to show for it. Stephanie is also the founder of DisabilityDetails.com, a website dedicated to providing information about Disability Rights, access, and life.
Teaming up with Stephanie for their presentation “You Gotta FIGHT – For Your RIGHT – To CRT!” (description below) is Julia Piriano, VP of Clinical Education, Rehab Industry Affairs and serves as Pride’s Compliance Officer, one of the leading experts in seating and wheeled technology. If access to technology for people with disabilities is involved, Julie is involved.
Finally hear from keynote speaker Mathew Rodreick, Executive Director at Unite 2 Fight Paralysis, who entered the SCI community after his son Gabriel sustained a C5 spinal cord injury (SCI) while body surfing in Costa Rica. Mathew will talk about the role of the patient across the landscape of medical research and clinical practice in his presentation “Advocacy Activism and Action” (description below).
We will hear about opportunities to participate in activities in our local communities, check in with some of strongest sponsors over the years and top it off with the 5th Annual Tom Gravitt Advocacy Award.
